Romans 8:31 ESV: What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
What is it that you’re facing today? What mountain is it that you feel like you can’t overcome? Be encouraged today that what you think is your mountain is simply a temporary distraction from the victory that is due unto you as a child of God.
I recently was feeling as if I was not going to overcome a situation. I felt defeated but guess what? It was a feeling. I felt as if I wasn’t going to overcome. However, the feeling was not the determiner of if I was going to be victorious. The Word said I was victorious but I wasn’t believing the Word. My faith wasn’t activated to walk in the confidence of Christ.
I had to shift my thinking from feeling to functioning in faith.
You can’t wait for your feelings to catch up to your faith. Read that previous sentence again. If you’re waiting to feel in your flesh that you should believe, you’ll be waiting for a very long time. Distractions in your life will do their very best to convince you that you should just allow what you’re facing to overtake you.
I had to see that the only thing that was really against me was my choice to not speak the Word of God. God is greater than anything that we face but do we believe it? Our belief is not just in what we say but it’s in what we do. What do you do when everything that you see is the opposite of what God’s Word has already declared?
We speak the Word. We believe the Word. We act on the Word.
